So December 3rd is going to the a big day for SWTOR as update 2.5 will be releasing and this is the big super secret space project everyone has been waiting for the last 12 months. SWTOR has put allot of time and money into developing this update and I am hoping it will bring people back to this great game. So lets start with the new loading screen. I think it looks awesome. I have always loved SWTOR’s art work and this just keeps my attention every time I see it.
When you load up 2.5 you will notice that the interface is the exact same expect the mini map. To the left hand side of the mini map you will see a little star fighter emblem and that it was you want to click to pull up the GSF PVP load up screen.
Here is the basic launch screen and you can see where all of the different options are.
There are two basic ships available in the PTS at the moment but there are some people that have unlocked the other types. At the moment there is the Strike Fighter Class and the Scout Class. The Strike Fighter is setup with a higher damage payload and medium speed compared to the Scout Class. Each class has its place and role for sure.
Here is the where you will be able to customize your ship and make it better for your playing style. In each option there are 3 to 4 choses and to the right hand side each options has its own talent spec tree.
This is the cosmetic option area and there is nothing in it at the moment that interests me
This crew screen is a part of GSF that I myself am very interested in. GSF has its own companions and you can unlock and use the companions you already are using. Each companion has a different buff they bring to each area. This is where GSF is going to really make your ships completely different from the opponents. Well until everyone figures out the BIS lol.
Here is a short walk through video of basic controls and game play. You can access this practice screan by hitting the question mark in the top right corner of the GSF load up screen. The controls take a bit of time to get use too. W is used to throttle up when boost is not available. S is used to slow. X is used to completely stop. A and D are used to roll left and right. SPACE BAR is use to boost while power is available. Direction is controlled by the direction you move your mouse in. E, R, and TAB are your targeting. LEFT MOUSE BUTTON fires primary weapon. RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON fires secondary weapon but requires you to hold until locking function is complete. Act like this is a cast time basically. 1, 2, 3 and 4 are your GSF talent key binds. There will be no click in this PVP style. So figure out the few keys you want to key bind and join the battle.
